3D_EFFECTS_OVERRUN
· When playing two or more 3D effects that are located near each other: Render one of
the effects.
3D_EFFECTS_UNDERRUN
· Try disabling 3D effects hardware.
· Try turning off AppleTalk
ACCESS EXCEPTION AT PC
· When booting up with drives connected to a dual channel ATTO card: The internal
drive had been formatted with FWB; its drivers overrode the ATTO drivers. Reformat
with Apple formatter.
· Try installing 7.01v1 or later.
· Try running Disk Doctor or Disk First Aid
A: COMP>GET APP CODE()== AC_EFFECT
· When trying to recreate title media: In the Import options, make sure “Ignore
Existing Alpha” is deselected. Fixed in 7.01v1.
· Try creating a new user
ACOMPOS!=NULL
· When trying to digitize: Once fixed by deleting media databases.
ADM ARM NOT STOPPED
· May occur if you try to play or digitize too quickly after entering Capture mode
ADMC_ADM_STOPPED
· When trying to digitize: Disk cache was set too high.
ADMC CONSUMER
· While trying to play a sequence: Was fixed by Recreate Title Media.
· While trying to play a sequence: Wrong sample rate set on Slave Driver.
· Can be caused by Kaleidoscope INIT: remove it
ADMC JANUS CONSUMER
· Try creating a new user and project
ADM FIFO ALLO CD
· When recording with Audio Punch-In tool: Try closing the Digitize tool.
ADM GAIN SEG OVERFLOW
· While trying to play a sequence: Was fixed by locating and removing a corrupt
portion of the sequence.
· Try moving the audio to a different drive than the video
ADM_RECFIFO_OVERUN
· Try restarting
· Check Disk Cache
· When trying to digitize a clip: Try opening bin in another project.
AFIFO_GIVE_OVERRUN
· When trying to perform an Audio Mixdown: Use Add Edits and create the mixdown
in several passes. Also, if you’re mixing down more than several tracks, try creating
the mixdown in several passes.
· Make sure AppleTalk and File Sharing are inactive
· Check the Disk Cache; it may be set too high.
· Can also be caused by corrupt EQ effects
AFILESTREAM_ERROR_CLOSING_FILESTREAM
· When trying to save a bin: Is the internal hard drive full?
AMCI_BITCLOCK_SKEW
· Occurs with AudioVision
· The clocks coming from the two 8x8's may not be synchronous. The AMCI Card is
comparing the two 8x8's at startup, and if they are off, you may receive this error.
· One cause of this can be if the OS Clock from the MicroLynx (or VSD) goes to the
second 8x8 (9-16) first, then to the first 8x8. The AMCI Card expects the clock from
the ch1-8 8x8 to be slightly ahead of the ch9-16 8x8. If the OS Cabling is wrong,
then it may be reversed.
AMCI PLL NOT LOCKED
· When launching AudioVision: Make sure the Micro Lynx and the Audio Interface
are properly cabled.
AMEFS_FILE_SIZE_EXCEEDED
· When creating or recreating effects: One of your media drives may be full; try saving
effect to a different partition.
AMOUNT OF AUDIO RECEIVED DIFFERS FROM AMOUNT OF AUDIO
REQUESTED
· Usually received while digitizing
· Check for INIT conflict. Remove APPLE CD-ROM INIT and CD-ROM REMOTE.
· Check pulldown switch on Video Slave Driver
· May happen on model 400s and 800s with Film Option; has been fixed by reblessing
system as a Film Composer.
AMOUNT OF VIDEO DIFFERS FROM THE AMOUNT REQUESTED
· Indicates that there is a problem synchronizing the audio and video
· Check the pulldown switch on the front of the Video Slave Driver. It should be set to
1.00 for NTSC or 30 fps projects and set to .99 for film or 24fps projects in most
cases (consult your manual for more information), and 1.00 for all PAL projects.
· Try recreating the DigiSetup file
· Check that Black burst from a single source is feeding your Video Slave Driver, deck,
ABVB, and VLANs/VLX
· Cycle the power on the Media Composer, especially the audio hardware and the tape
deck and VLANs/VLX and try again. The audio hardware and the VLANs/VLX can
get into a strange state and powering them down will reset them.
· Check your deck to verify that the play rate is correct
· Your Video Slave Driver may be failing
· The audio signal may be too hot and cause Media Composer to skip a frame when
digitizing
ANY CLIP = NULL
· Could be caused by a corrupt bin; try dragging the clips into another bin or retrieving
a copy of the bin from the Attic.
· When Sifting: If the Sift column is set to Any, you may receive this message.
· Check for missing Supporting Files
· Check for corrupt Media Files; run Nortons to locate.
AOBJ_VERSION_MISMATCH
· When trying to open a 7.0 project in 6.x
· When trying to open (in 6.x) a backup of a 6.x project that’s been brought forward
to 7.0: Try deleting (back it up elsewhere if necessary) the 7.0 version of the project
from the Composer Projects folder and then opening backup in 6.x.
